Value Stream Team Manager

Overview The Value Stream Team Production Manager will support the Senior Value Stream Manager in leading and improving manufacturing processes across multiple shifts. This role is responsible for developing supervisors, influencing workflow efficiency, and driving continuous improvement in the processing and packaging areas. The ideal candidate is an expert in change management and skilled in implementing and maintaining visual management systems that enhance communication and performance tracking. Responsibilities Leadership: Develop the talent pipeline of leaders and employees within the Value Stream. Facilitate supervisors sharing best practices to ensure consistency across all shifts. Supports the Individual Development Plans for supervisors. Promotes performance management process adherence and coaching of direct reports by supervisors. Operations: Support the Value Stream Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. Cascade Operational Master Plan (OMP) in the Value Stream to execute agreed manufacturing goals, objectives, measures, and activities. Monitor and influence workflow to optimize resources, improve efficiency, and reduce waste. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on goals and processes. Champion the Marzetti Quality Culture to ensure production of the highest quality products and minimize food safety risks. Foster a safe workplace to minimize the risk of injury. Change Management: Lead and support change initiatives within the value stream, ensuring effective communication and team engagement. Develop and execute change management strategies to support business goals and operational improvements. Provide coaching on effective change leadership and create tools to help supervisors lead their teams through transitions. Visual Management: Help to define visual controls based on business need, such as dashboards and performance boards, to provide real-time and trend data on key performance indicators (KPIs). Facilitate and train the use of visual tools to drive problem-solving, decision-making, and continuous improvement at the team level. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead Kaizen events or similar initiatives to implement solutions. Drive the implementation of TPM (Marzetti Operational Excellence) methodologies to drive waste out of plant systems and improve plant performance. Participate in MOE health checks to gauge the maturity of each Pillar. Coach supervisors to ensure compliance to the MOE standards that have been implemented. Ensure the sustainability of improvements through effective follow-up and coaching. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Food Manufacturing experience is preferred. Strong background in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Proven experience in change management and leading cross-functional teams through transitions. Ability to work across multiple shifts and adjust work schedule as needed. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficient in the use of visual management tools, such as KPI dashboards and performance boards.
