As a Valve Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, assessing, repairing, and testing various types of industrial valves. You will identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, and develop alternative solutions. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work well in group problem-solving situations, and a commitment to quality and productivity.
ResponsibilitiesRepair and test various PRVs, assorted valves, and actuators.Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, measuring, reassembly, and testing of PRVs, assorted valves, and actuators at facilities or customer locations.Follow schematics and documented procedures in accordance with all Quality Control and ASME National Board standards.Complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs thoroughly.Communicate timely updates to management, co-workers, and customers to ensure the timely and successful completion of job responsibilities.Work closely with co-workers, Quality Assurance, and management/safety coordinator to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED with 2-5 years of industrial valve repair experience, or an equivalent number of years of education and experience.Familiarity with tools and machinery required for daily valve repair duties.Experience with repairing various valves and actuators, whether pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Effective communication skills to speak before groups of customers or employees.Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Problem-solving skills to deal with a variety of concrete variables in practical situations.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to frequently stand, walk, bend, crouch, and climb.Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise.Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).Travel up to 10%.Job Type & Location

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr.
