What will you do?
A day in the life of the Vice President, Footwear Merchandising at Vans looks a little like this.
As the Vice President of Footwear Merchandising, you serve as a key member of the Vans Global Executive Leadership team. You are responsible creating, owning, and championing the global Footwear business, including overall strategic direction and product line management. This will include business plan development, concept/product briefing, cross-functional team leadership, sales and margin accountability - all with a relevant focus on our consumer and our competition (current/future), and within each unique market and sales channel. In order to be a successful leader, you must be an opportunity identifier, evaluator, and maker. You will oversee and provide guidance to the category Merchandising leaders reporting to you, and are responsible for the development of these direct reports and the growth of the business overall.

You will set the foundation for all global assortment segmentation, commercial balance, pricing, and margin, and establish a 3 year vision for product progression to elevate the brand and achieve growth targets.Drives the day-to-day management of the full Global Footwear assortment In partnership with the our Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Design Officer, & Vice President of Apparel Merchandising, defines the consumer category direction and consistently evaluates relevancy and new opportunitiesSets, analyzes, and drives organizational and consumer category goals, putting the consumer at the center of our decision making by leveraging consumer data & insightsBy embracing our global operating model, you will collaborate with our Regional product leads ensuring the global product line is adopted, while ensuring we are providing locally-relevant product globallyServes as a key voice within the Vans Global Executive Leadership team, helping to iterate our brand foundation, story creation, and brand mapWorks closely with the Vice President of Product Development to set quality standards, benchmarking and to establish a speed to market strategyWhat do you need to succeed?

Hiring Range:
$259,200.00 USD - $324,000.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
