What will you do?
A day in the life of a Vice President, Global Brand Creative at Vans looks a little like this.
Reporting directly into the Chief Marketing Officer, this role is responsible for the Global creative expression and visual identity of the brand, in line with brand positioning, brand guidelines, and brand strategy. They will shape the brand’s visual identity, messaging, and storytelling across all channels and touchpoints and oversee all aspects of creative development from concept to execution. It is imperative they ensure regional relevance of assets, narratives, and deliverables – across DTC and retail.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Creative Vision and Strategy - Develop and execute a consistent global creative strategy across all channels and markets. Responsible for building and maintaining brand guidelines (e.g., visual identity, photography guidelinesm messaging and storytelling), and determining creative strategy to reinforce Brand Position and improve perceptions against priority consumer needs
Creative Content Development - Oversee seasonal content development (brand campaigns, consumer moments, always on content), ensuring all creative work is on-brand, high-quality, and meets timelines and budgets. Manage creation of all creative assets (photo and video) and narratives.
Retail Creative Content - Own Retail management, to protect brand identity and execution in retail environments incl. Visual Merchandising, Styling guidelines (partner with stylist in design), Windows, Mannequins, Signature tables, Icon experience and Store Design and Concept
Lead Creative Teams: oversee creative production team to unify the creative vision and execution across all projects, ensuring that the final deliverables align with the brand's identity and strategic objectives.
What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 12+ years of experience and professional achievements.

You are consumer obsessed, digital first and social first brand innovator and have a wealth of experience with digital design content for various platforms including websites, social and retai. Ai art and creative is at your fingertips.
Creative vision and innovation (build compelling visual identity and direction)
Storytelling (craft engaging brand narratives)
Design & aesthetic judgement
Cross-channel expertise (knowledge how to adapt effectively by channel)
Trend awareness
Collaboration and communication
Proven track record in brand strategy execution
Familiarity with retail and DTC channels – strong with social and digital
Experience tailoring creative assets and campaigns for diverse regional markets
Project management in creative development
Experience with digital design content for various platforms including websites, social and retail displays

Hiring Range:
$238,032.00 USD - $297,540.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
