The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is seeking applicants to support our government customer located in Orlando, FL.
Various Roles in the areas of Instructional Systems Design, Training, Training Systems, System Engineering, Strategy, Program Analysis, Technical Writing, Financial Management and Analysis, and Administrative Support Services to support our DoD customer in the strategic reimagining and implementation of how the Navy trains its Sailors, specifically supporting the change of when the Navy provides training, how training is delivered, and the development and implementation of methods to keep training as relevant as possible to the real-world needs of the Fleet. These changes require sustained focus across three lines of effort: career-long learning continuum, modern delivery at point of need, and integrated content development.
Roles and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Financial and Business Analysts: Performs price or cost analysis as required. Records bookkeeping entries and chart of accounts management. Manages projects budgets, accounts receivable & accounts payable. Develops procedures and policies and ensures compliance. Performs monthly, quarterly, annual reconciliations and close processes. Prepares financial reports (internal and external). Participates in strategic financial planning & analysis requirements. Reviews travel expenses, audits and prepares the monthly vouchers, and reconciles accounts. Performs bookkeeping and clerical work in accounting and fiscal record keeping. Processes travel expenses for personnel; reviews and enters invoices into accounting system; audits and processes vouchers; works with financial reports; and reconciles accounts.
Instructional Design and Development (Instructional System Designers, Instructional Systems Specialists): R esponsible for providing courseware conversion support, provide courseware conversion support, as required; identify any deficiencies or defects and perform the corrective actions needed such that the new asset versions reflect appropriate technical compliance, quality, and Section 508 assurance and so that converted assets can be presented to customers; conduct data gathering, analysis, and reporting to monitor and communicate progress, timeliness, and efficacy of the conversion process; provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development.
Responsible for the design and development, and delivering accurate instructional materials while maintaining and enhancing of training programs. Working with training team, supervisors, and business process owners to incorporate training needs into future programs to achieve critical business objectives. Designing and developing innovative, comprehensive curriculums and certification programs, utilizing advanced design/development techniques and tools of adult learning theory. Gathering and analyzing feedback on training effectiveness and identify training gaps for the purpose of improving individual/team performance.
Training Specialists: Assists in course development and revision. Edits and proofreads training materials, reviews, proofreads and edits training materials, lesson plans, correspondence, reports, and memoranda. Maintains and updates course information in database; completing database and program backups; establishing and maintaining a system of internal controls; ensuring the security procedures and standards are enforced. Maintains records and files for course development/revision, lesson plans, training materials. Provides support coordinating and tracking projects and assignments. Supervises and evaluates training modality and develops eLearning solutions through the application and utilization of various adult learning principles and eLearning technology tools. Develops, conducts and implements training need assessments, program evaluations, instructional design methodologies and templates, and eLearning programs. Reviews and approves videos and simulations. Supports the design, development, implementation and evaluation of the training requirements.
System Engineers and Administrators: Ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of all training systems and sandboxes, defining and managing training environment refresh process, building transactional and master data as necessary to support instructional design and managing training environment contention for multiple projects and dependencies.
Administrative Support Services: Executes administrative duties with little or no supervision. Responsible for appointment calendar(s) and schedules meetings. Organizes travel plans and itineraries. Coordinates conferences and other meetings. Keeps track of all suspense's and task assignments and ensures follow-up and completion. Maintains Office Use Only information. Assists in the management of projects using a project management system to schedule, track timelines, and responsible officials of each tasking. At times, will be assigned to log, monitor, manage key functional processes. Maintains expert verbal and writing communication skills. Must have ability to document meetings and conferences via meeting minutes. Maintains outstanding customer service skills.
General Education, Skills and Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s and/or Specialized Certificate Preferred
+ Experience may be used in lieu of education requirements.
+ Minimum of three plus (3+) years’ of experience in relevant area of support.
+ Ability to meet minimum security clearance requirements.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that include the ability to interact with a wide variety of key stakeholders to ensure timely responses for all communications and deliverables across all projects.
+ Superb planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
+ Results-driven with a positive attitude and a high degree of initiative and responsiveness.
+ Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and attend to details while staying focused on key priorities and management.
+ Command of project management concepts. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
+ Ability to work with a cross-functional team composed of information technology, human resources and/or training and education specialists, and management professionals.
+ Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Must have extensive knowledge, skills, and abilities utilizing Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word programs.
+ Maintain a high level of integrity.
+ Ability to multi-task in a high-stress, performance-based environment.
Citizenship and Clearance Requirements:
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ Must have or be able to obtain Secret Clearance.
