Job Description

Functions as member of interdisciplinary team, including organizing and providing quality patient care services. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. For paramedics working inside the hospital, care is delivered under the supervision of a licensed professional.
The Acute Care Paramedic provides direct and indirect patient care.
The Acute Care Paramedic guides and collaborates with other healthcare professionals, coordinates with ancillary staff, and functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta within the legal framework of the state.

Experience

Must be in compliance with, state continuing education requirements as outlined by Georgia Code 3, 31-11-58.1 and DHR regulations for paramedicsThree years of experience in patient careMinimum 2 years’ experience in IV insertion, with pediatric experience preferred.
