Job Description:

PRN

Department hours - 8 hours shifts, Mon thru Fri. 
On call hours are weekday evenings and weekends. Call is rotated between all staff. 
Department hours are 0630-1700. Shifts flex between these times.

Under the direction of a cardiologist, performs diagnostic sonographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment. May be assigned as a preceptor in areas of specific.

Job Duties:

Reviews patient chart and results of previous diagnostic studies and records patient’s personal and medical information.Selects appropriate equipment and proper technical factors on an individual patient basis according to specific orders and part of body examined.Provides technical skills as required for testing (Intravenous access and contrast administration). Assists patient in assuming physical position for required examination. Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.

Requirements:

Must be Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)Must obtain BLS certification within 3 months of employmentMust obtain Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDSC) within one year of employment.
