We are looking for a VAT Compliance Analyst to join the Corporate Tax Department.

\n\n\n\n\nHow will you contribute to the success of DHL?\n

The Corporate Tax department is responsible for all corporate income and indirect (transactional) tax matters within DPDHL. Global responsibilities are addressed by International Taxes and Indirect Taxes, whereas regional responsibilities are organized by area, led by Regional Heads. You will be working within a global network of Corporate Tax colleagues and as part of the Global VAT Compliance team, you'll fulfill all VAT requirements.

\n

In your role, your main accountability is to prepare and timely submit domestic/foreign VAT returns or Tax reports for several EMEA entities within your own portfolio. All your actions are compliant and in line with our DPDHL internal control framework (ICF/ICON). In case of audit queries or TAX audits, you will prepare and analyze data for auditors or Tax authorities.

Other key tasks are:

\n\n\nFollow-up on VAT refunds; \nReconcile the VAT GL-account to the VAT returns and review VAT reconciliation to VAT revenue figures;\nKeep track of new or changed VAT laws and regulations and analyze the impact of these changes; \nSupport in the onboarding of new countries to SSC VAT compliance;\nResponsible for the correct application of the ICF framework including complete stored evidence on executed controls; \nSupport in country/company projects for SSC VAT compliance team;\n\n

\nDo you have what it takes?\n

You have a educational background in Accounting or TAX and you have a solid background of VAT knowledge. You know how to apply your theoretical knowledge into practice. Preferably you have 2-3 years of experience in finance accounting or in a similar role!

\n

Key abilities we are looking for:

\n\n\nStrong analytical and communication skills;\nAbility to work independently;\nYou have an eye for detail and you work accurate;\nKnowledge of ERP systems like Oracle, SAP or SUN are a plus;\nExcellent Microsoft knowledge;\nExperience in financial accounting processes within OtC, RtR, PtPand IC and financial accounting for taxes;\nExcellent command of the English language.\n\n\n\n
