The VAVE Project Engineer III will be responsible for executing VAVE projects through all funnel stages (identification, valuation, scoping/assessment, execution, release to production and closure). As well, in addition to driving projects, this role will also document processes, procedures and standard work, serving as a mentor to VAVE Project Engineers II on technical matters. Due to the wide breadth of VAVE projects this role will require high levels of cross functional collaboration and alignment.

This position is part of the Loveland Operations VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) team and will be on-site in Loveland, CO.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Identify potential VAVE projects and develop preliminary Business Cases for evaluation and prioritizationDrive VAVE projects from identification to closureManage multiple projects simultaneously across all funnel stages to advance in a timely mannerIndirectly manage/influence cross functional project resources to complete deliverablesDevelop and Document VAVE team process/standard work and continuous improvementAdvocate and educate VAVE as a process to the broader organizationAct as a technical and process resource to VAVE Project Engineers II, inside and outside the VAVE team.

The essential requirements of the job include:  

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5-7 years of experience in component or system design engineering.Project management skills with a track record of meeting tight deadlines and managing priority constraints effectively.Technical expertise in component design, manufacturability, GD&T, material selection, and systems design, including Lean manufacturing.Experience with multiple manufacturing methods, including injection molding, machining, sheet metal, and PCB manufacturing.Financial analysis proficiency, including BOM analysis, component pricing, assembly costing, and overhead cost modeling.Ability to drive supplier improvements that enhance component quality and result in positive PPV impact and cost reduction initiatives.Experience in design from concept through qualification to manufacturing transfer.Knowledge in Change Management conceptsData and fact-based problem-solving and root cause analysis skills

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $75,000.00 - $103,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
