VCA COVINGTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL is seeking an enthusiastic part time licensed veterinary technician to join our 5 doctor animal hospital, AAHA certified hospital and fear free certified practice. We are searching for the technician who believes in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

 The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
• Venipuncture
• catheter placement
• radiology (hands free)
• anesthesia monitoring
• physical examinations and patient assessment
• surgical preparation and assisting
• dentistry
• laboratory work
• pharmacy
• patient recovery
• compassionate care for our hospitalized patients

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Obtaining patient history and using paperless software
Appropriate patient triage
Assisting in out patient appointments
Low stress handling and restraint
Surgical prep and monitoring
Client education
triage,
pre-cursory examinations
acquisition of digital radiographs, including digital dental radiographs
and ultrasound guided cystocentesis

Qualified candidates must possess:
 Washington State licensure
General veterinary experience
 Skilled at performing dental cleanings
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  Friendly, outgoing personality
 Exceptional people skills and interpersonal skills
 Team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while paying attention to detail.

Compensation for this role is $28 hour - $32 hour.
