VDC Survey Technician
What we are looking for:
Aldridge is seeking a VDC Survey Technician to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role is responsible for working with construction project teams in the creation of digital dig files for excavators and survey equipment utilizing Virtual Design and Construction methodologies.
What you’ll do:
Duties including:
+ Maintaining and generating as-built 2D and 3D documentation(s)
+ Creating survey/Layout points utilizing the 3D model
+ Developing excavator dig files utilizing the 3D model
+ Creating Topography models and drawings
+ Educating project teams and clients about the benefits of Virtual Design and Construction
+ Providing insight into new time saving methodologies related to technologies
+ Developing accurate and complete modeling drawing sets along with a signed and coordinated Digital Twin
+ Creating construction drawings from scratch when necessary
Who you are:
We are pursuing entry-level candidates with the following qualifications:
+ Minimum of 5 years work experience with survey equipment and software
+ Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Revit
+ Knowledge and experience with Autodesk software
+ Knowledge and skilled in Virtual Design and Construction software
+ Familiar with MEP drafting coordination process programs with a focus on electrical
+ Familiar with survey equipment and machine control software
+ Familiar with survey drafting and modeling software(s) and processes (Trimble specific a plus)
