WHAT TO EXPECT
Join JLR’s Software Centre of Excellence in Shannon, Ireland, and contribute to the future of mobility. As a Vehicle Electrification Test Engineer, you will help design and develop the next-generation of autonomous and electrified propulsion test systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects while enhancing your skills and contributing to some of the automotive industry's most innovative developments.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Comprehensive Test System Development: Assist in designing, developing, and implementing advanced test systems and methodologies to ensure high-quality standards and system reliability. End-to-End Testing Activities: Execute test plans, analyse results, and document outcomes to enhance product performance, primarily on-site, with a focus on innovative testing solutions. Collaboration Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams to define test requirements, refine methodologies, and establish robust, scalable testing environments. Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance testing frameworks, aligning with evolving industry trends and project needs. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all testing activities adhere to relevant standards and maintain thorough documentation of systems, results, and improvement recommendations.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
3+ years of experience developing test systems with knowledge of MIL/SIL/HIL Test Environments. Experience in electrical powertrain components and systems, such as 3-phase inverters, on-board chargers, and DCDC converters, is a distinct advantage. Experience in the Software Development Life Cycle, V-Model, and Agile methodologies. Proficient in problem-solving and debugging, with a strong understanding of analysing and implementing customer requirements. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across functions.
