Vehicle Feature Solutions Manager

You'll have... 

A bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or 5 years of experience developing multi-system distributed features for vehicles across multiple markets, platforms, and architectures. Also requires 5 years of experience: leading teams of feature system engineers or providing subject matter expertise to teams of feature system engineers through all stages of feature development, deployment, and testing; completing expected deliverables, signoffs, and management reviews as part of developing and launching vehicle product lines; and using Modelling tools for feature development and CANoe or CANalyzer for system testing. Requires 2 years of experience utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and using JIRA in working with Software development teams in scoping, prioritizing, delivering, and testing Feature Systems. Also requires 1 year of experience defining SOME and IP and SoA Service interfaces for Platform Systems or Feature Applications. Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Company offers flexible work from home schedule, but in-office work is required and individual must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

We are offering a salary of $141,086 to $243,338 per year.

What you’ll be able to do: 

Vehicle Feature Solutions Manager positions offered by Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI. Lead FNV4 Technical engineering for Feature and System design for approximately 200 features within Systems Engineering organization, and provide Technical Scoping/Prioritization over multiple Program-Increments and Vehicle Programs. Establish and manage 3-month increments of feature design, development, and defects backlog across vehicle programs, working directly with stakeholders from Platform Systems, ECUs, Planning, and Testing organizations. Identify and resolve system(s), process, and technical roadblocks spanning on-time delivery with quality, via leading and conducting detailed Systems Engineering technical design reviews. Drive customer focused mindset into engineering by removing key execution barriers through evolution of team processes, instructional material, and quick-response paths for technical, tool, or process related escalations. Work closely with FNV4 Solution Group and TPM organization to continually improve our CI/CD pipeline, quality actions, data-collection, and subscription enablement. Conduct technical design review to go over and author/edit technology level design details of how these features should work over latest SOME/IP, High Processing Compute Center, and Zonal-ECU centric (FNV4) vehicle electrical architecture.
