Vehicle Integration Technician

**Description**
SAIC is seeking a multiple levels of **Vehicle Integration Technician's** for our customer site in **Charleston, SC** to support the **US Navy** to complete vehicle integration tasks to include cable routing, metal work installations, and technical support to integrate, install, modify, and perform upgrades in support of C5ISR systems.
**JOB DESCRIPTION:**
+ Perform moderate to complex vehicle integration tasks to include cable routing, metal work installations, and technical support to integrate, install, modify, and perform upgrades in support of C5ISR systems.
+ Read and follow integration documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, drawings and diagrams, layouts, and plans often requiring interpretation.
+ Provide occasional assistance to related support areas, including but not limited to kitting and warehouse operations.
**Qualifications**
**REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**
+ **Level 2 Requirements:**
+ Associates Degree in related field, OR formal electronics training from: Technical School OR Class A or B military school in electronics or communications.
+ Three (3)+ years of experience within laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance.
+ **Level 3 Requirements:**
+ Associates Degree in related field, OR formal electronics training from: Technical School OR Class A or B military school in electronics or communications.
+ Ten (10)+ years of experience within maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers, computer peripheral/interface, equipment, VME based systems, digital switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modems.
+ Must have four (4) years of the last eight (8) years of C4ISR or C5ISR experience.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Must be able to lift, pull, push and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis.
+ Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand or squat for extended periods.
+ Must be able to walk distances of at least one-half mile daily.
+ Must be able to repeatedly manipulate and handle objects needed for cable fabrication, including reaching, grasping, twisting, turning and operating equipment and tools.
+ Must be able to move and arrange heavy cable supplies and electronic equipment.
+ Must be able to handle and use tools needed for installing electronics and metal work into vehicles. Familiar with the use and operation of power tools is required.
**REQUIRED CLEARANCE:**
+ Must be able to obtain a Public Trust; SAIC will help to obtain; Active DoD Clearance accepted.
+ Must be a current U.S. Citizen.
