Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $3,461.54 to $3,750.00 biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. May be eligible for a discretionary bonus annually.

Job Summary:
Works with the Fleet & Transportation Senior Manager to oversee the strategic direction of the Vehicle Maintenance and Purchasing Warehouse departments to align with company goals and objectives. Provides high quality services, a professional employee and guest experience, and reliable vehicle availability at a targeted cost.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily administration and management of the fleet maintenance operation.
Manages the recruiting, staffing, training, retention, evaluation and motivation of all personnel in the Vehicle Maintenance and Purchasing business units to ensure effective, innovative, efficient and professional competent operations that are commensurate with company philosophies.
Supports a team atmosphere and provides guidance in a diverse environment.
Provides outstanding guest service to constituents
Develops budgets for the Vehicle Maintenance and Purchasing business units to include all associated assignments and capital projects.
Coordinates with vehicle users to prioritize and control costs of fleet repairs and maintenance, manages purchasing and inventory associated with department operations to mutually agreed upon levels in support of effective operations.
Maintains proficient understanding of legal and risk management issues as directed and/or dictated by industry standards to include communication of appropriate information to staff for implementation.
Manages the interpretation, administration, communication and implementation of Government rules and regulations as they relate to company and department operations such as ADA regulations, Hazardous Waste, Fuel storage, Fuel taxation, Hazard Communications, OSHA regulations, EPA regulations etc. to ensure company interests are protected.
Collaborates with others to manage the vehicle maintenance shop and yard with regard to parking, traffic flow, storage, trash removal, security and grounds maintenance.
Manages the maintenance of assigned buildings, machinery, tools, equipment, fuel systems and facilities to include the employee housing units located at the complex.
Maintains required and appropriate records and information systems to ensure regular analysis and effective management of operations.
Maintains proficient understanding of technological advances associated with areas of responsibility to ensure changes are incorporated into department operations or presented for future considerations.

Maintains relations with outside agencies that pertain to operations
Collaborates with other managers and equipment users to prioritize and expedite repairs and maintenance of equipment as necessary given limited resources. Is a creative problem solver
Oversees training of personnel outside of department with regard to their relationship and use of the Vehicle Maintenance facility and complex.
Manages the planning process as it relates to tactical and strategic operational impacts.
Manages the purchase of new/replacement equipment and vehicles to include specifications and negotiations. Manages the disposal of retired assets and vehicles.
Maintains job safety guidelines and practices for fellow employees, guests and residents.
Develops and communicates short and long range department plans, goals and objectives to staff and oversees the implementation of strategies.
Contributes to the general care of mountain and village resources.

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:
College degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent job experience.
5 years’ general maintenance experience.
3 years’ supervisory and management experience.
5 years’ operations experience.
General knowledge of mountain resort operations.
Experience operating light construction/maintenance equipment and/or vehicles.
Advanced knowledge and experience in areas of supervision to include organizational and communication skills.
Trade School/Master Mechanic Degree or equivalent training program.
Strong computer skills and management techniques.
Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance management.
Alpine skier or snowboarder.
