Vehicle Technician B  Transdev in Sayreville, New Jersey is seeking a B-Level Vehicle Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. Transdev is proud to offer: $22 - $24 per hour, based on experience and in alignment with the United Service Workers Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale. Benefits include: Medical, dental & vision, life insurance and 401k retirement benefits after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees.Vacation: one week; Sick: 5 days; Holidays: 8 days after one year of employment for full-time employees.Paid TrainingKey Responsibilities: Perform repairs and replacements on engines, ensuring optimal functionality.Assist A-Level Mechanic in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.Other duties as required.Qualifications: 2 years of experience as a Vehicle Mechanic.ASE certifications preferred.Mechanic’s Tool SetMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
