Overview Big Sky Resort is seeking a qualified Mechanic to join our high-performing Fleet Maintenance Team. This position offers the opportunity to develop a varied skillset through work on diverse machinery. While collaborating within a supportive team environment, the ideal candidate will be driven, independent and a strong self starter. Responsibilities and qualifications will align with the specific type of equipment being maintained. Responsibilities The Automotive Mechanic: Troubleshooting Preventative maintenance Vehicle inspections on pick-up trucks, and small engines The Snowcat Mechanic Troubleshooting and repair on snowcats, heavy equipment, rolling stock and small engine Must be able to work independently and in a team setting. Qualifications The Automotive Mechanic: Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive and/or professional training Required knowledge of all automotive systems including engine, transmission, axle, brake and electronics. Experience with welding oxy-acetylene, and fabrication is a plus. Must be able to work independently and as a team servicing a fleet of vehicles.
