THE ROLE   

The Vending Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership for Vendors, Vending Leads, and Vending support staff in their respective roles to deliver a great guest experience. The Vending Supervisor will take ownership of inventory, cash-out processes, staffing controls, while adhering to all corporate, facility, and government regulations in the service industry of food and beverage.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ensure total guest/fan food service experience. Provide any training, direction or guidance to any front-line employee in need.   Ensure corporate logs are correctly completed, including cash log, labour log, food safety log, etc. Give direction to employees to ensure an efficient and smooth event. Develop floor control, know what needs to be completed in order of priority, and have the necessary communication and organizational skills to direct his/her staff to complete these tasks within a reasonable amount of time. Follow the direction of the Vending Manager to control variables. Ensure the location used is kept clean, organized and within company guidelines at all times. Aware and able to enforce all company or government policies. Handle situations where vendors cannot (guest requests/ complaints). Be a role model and provide a positive example for other employees as outlined in corporate guidelines. Know your surroundings to assist all guests / fans needs. Must be in proper uniform at all times as outlined in the employee Handbook. Perform duties with Health & Safety in mind at all times. Responsible for assigning all staff clear and specific duties to accomplish prior, during, at the end of an event which allows for the overall operation of that specific location. Responsible for all inventory and debit/credit controls in that specific stand. Ensuring that all staff are following all corporate, facility, and government regulations. Responsible for counting the beginning and ending inventory at for each event and balancing inventory to event sales. Responsible for all inventories coming in or going out of your assigned stand location must be properly tracked on appropriate transfer sheets or through warehouse charges/credits. Keeping appropriate product levels in stand locations based on sales and projections as communicated by Vending Manager. Doing daily orders to keep stock levels up to par. Keeping waste to a minimum by watching food production level as outlined by the Vending Manager. All debit & credit handling policies must be properly and thoroughly followed as per handbook and company guidelines. Ensure all transactions with vendors is recorded and maintained as per policy.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Prior experience in similar facility or operation a plus. Have the skills set necessary to ensure direction given is followed. Smart Serve certification and a minimum age of 18 to serve, as per the Province of Ontario. Food Handlers certification. Ability to handle multiple tasks and high-volume situations simultaneously. Strong vocal and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of customers and employees and receive direction from Management. Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. WORKING CONDITIONS
