D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Vendor Account Setup Assistant-Corp. The right candidate will perform various clerical level vendor account set up and maintenance functions with supervision from the Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepare vendor accounts for payment Identify vendor by type and scope of work Follow system controls including IRS reporting guidelines, insurance compliance and vendor eligibility Review source information for all required documents Prevent duplication and adhere to standardized naming conventions Ensure real-time ongoing data integrity Process high volumes of information Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company Assist corporate accounting management with related special projects as directed Ability to work overtime

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Six months to one-year related experience and/or training Basic accounting knowledge required Work well within a team environment Strong computer skills Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments Work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment Highly motivated Must be detail oriented, have strong analytical skills and be a self-starter Sound logic and reasoning skills Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred AS400, JD Edwards, EMC Documentum (ECM) and/or Lansa experience preferred
