About the Team The Vendor Operations team is part of the larger Stitch Fix Merchandising team and works to facilitate smooth and effective operational partnerships between our external vendors and internal teams. We onboard our inventory vendors, develop our vendor-facing manuals and internal training resources and monitor vendor operational alignment and performance with the overall goal of driving efficiencies and supporting business growth. About the Role The Vendor Business Operations Manager is part of the Vendor Operations team and will support our inventory vendors in several facets of their Stitch Fix partnership, as well as own, develop, and optimize several critical workstreams and resources. They will drive onboarding for our new inventory vendors ensuring accurate technical system integration, owning partnership negotiations and creating alignment with our operational expectations and Terms and Conditions. This role will own our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) program by partnering with our external provider to optimize for efficiency, as well as troubleshoot EDI transmission failures to identify root causes and support our Vendor Compliance team in upholding vendor alignment with our EDI requirements. You will update and keep current our Stitch Fix Vendor Manual, and as vendor-facing operational processes evolve you will support cross-functional teams in process development and change management, ensuring alignment across vendors and internal stakeholders. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Vendor and Sample Operations, this role is highly cross-functional, working closely with the Merchandising team, our multiple warehouses, Accounts Payable, Tech, Legal, and external partners including our EDI provider, freight manager and our inventory vendors. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… + Drive new vendor onboarding in partnership with Merchandising, AP, Legal, our freight manager and our third-party EDI provider by facilitating financial setup, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and legal Terms and Conditions, executing technical system integration, and negotiating, documenting, and tracking any necessary exceptions creating a smooth vendor experience. + Own activation, deactivation, and any ongoing maintenance of inventory vendor accounts. + Spearhead updates to our Stitch Fix Vendor Manual, working closely with internal teams to identify and document changes and improvements to processes, implement new requirements, and support internal and external teams in navigating operational shifts. + Act as the main internal point of contact for EDI questions, concerns, and best practices for cross-functional partners; surfacing vendor concerns and escalations as needed to the appropriate business owner + Work with our EDI provider to provide support for the overall Stitch Fix EDI program, maintaining the partnership and continuing to optimize collaborative processes + Champion and embody the Stitch Fix culture, mission, and values We’re excited about you because… + You have 3-5 years of experience in corporate business operations, logistics, vendor management or a related field - developing and documenting end-to-end processes and guidelines; experience navigating EDI; experience with retail or e-commerce preferred + You excel at project managing multiple critical workflows to drive results and like to work in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment + You have a consistent eye toward improvement and are execution-oriented, along with the ability to think strategically and take into account multiple perspectives and trickledown impacts of process and system changes + You are detail-oriented and have excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal + You’re excellent at poking holes in logic, identifying open items and problem areas in workstreams, and ensuring each step of a process flow is confirmed and explicitly stated + You thrive in the unknown, are excited to navigate uncharted territory, and love to learn new things; if you don’t know the answer you work independently to find it + You are well-versed in Google Sheets, Excel, and Google Docs Why you'll love working at Stitch Fix... + We are a group of bright, kind people who are motivated by challenge. Compensation and Benefits This role will receive a competitive salary, benefits, and equity. The salary for US-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, location, and performance.This position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance.
