**Job Summary:**
The Vendor Compliance Specialist assigned to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients will be responsible for ensuring that all vendors adhere to company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. This role plays a critical part in mitigating risks, protecting the company's reputation, and ensuring ethical and sustainable business practices throughout the supply chain.
**Essential Functions:**
1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
2. Conduct thorough due diligence on potential vendors, including background checks, financial stability assessments, and compliance audits.
3. Develop and maintain vendor onboarding checklists and compliance questionnaires.
4. Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and reviewed
5. Review and analyze vendor contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
6. Identify and mitigate potential risks within vendor contracts.
7. Track contract expiration dates and ensure timely renewals or contract amendments
8. Conduct regular audits and inspections of vendor facilities to assess compliance with relevant standards (safety, environmental, ethical).
9. Monitor vendor performance against agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
10. Investigate and resolve any compliance issues or violations promptly.
11. Identify and assess potential compliance risks within the supply chain.
12. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
13. Maintain a risk register and regularly review and update risk assessments.
14. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all vendor compliance activities.
15. Generate reports on vendor performance, compliance issues, and risk assessments.
16. Provide regular updates to management on the status of vendor compliance.
17. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance across the organization.
18. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to foster open communication and collaboration.
19. Stay informed about relevant industry best practices, regulations, and standards.
20. Continuously review and improve vendor compliance processes and procedures.
21. Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
22. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and their potential impact on vendor compliance.
23. All other duties, as assigned.
**Education, Experience, and Certifications:**
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business administration with at least seven years' experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field. Pinkerton is an inclusive employer who seeks candidates with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
