Job Title: Vendor Representative

Job Description

The main function of a Vendor Representative is to interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints. A typical Vendor Representative is responsible for determining the client’s issue, offering possible solutions, or providing follow-up as needed. Vendor Rep agents may be inbound, outbound, or a combination of both.

ResponsibilitiesResolve customers’ service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, and adjusting bills.Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments.Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.Obtain and examine all relevant information to assess the validity of complaints and to determine possible causes.Solicit sales of new or additional services or products.Make daily outbound calls to customers to discuss and renew preventive maintenance contracts.Clearly explain contract details, benefits, and address any customer questions and concerns.Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and follow-up activities utilizing our systems.Essential SkillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsProven sales and negotiation skillsTime management and organizational skillsCustomer serviceData entryInbound call handlingCustomer careCustomer supportMicrosoft ExcelServiceOutbound callsMicrosoft OfficeAccounts receivableCollectionCustomer service call center experienceTechnical supportAdditional Skills & QualificationsVerbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailCustomer service skills and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage one’s timeAbility to accurately document and record customer/client informationPrevious experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and PowerPointWork Environment

Hybrid work environment with 3-4 days in the office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
