NPI group within Solar Turbines (Gas Turbine Package Engineering) is on the front line of developing new, innovative products that are crucial to the success of customers in a wide range of Industries. We are looking for a motivated, creative, out of the box thinking, Design Engineer to work in a fast-paced engineering environment using the agile development process to see Solar experience profitable growth and make our customers successful. **What you will do:** As a mechanical design engineer for the Ancillary Systems, the candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis and implementation of Ancillary systems and components. The candidate will interface with teams across Solar’s business units to explore methodologies to improve quality and reduce cost. The candidate will prioritize opportunities to support sales, resolve field issues, or improve customer experience. Initial area of focus will include ventilation system design. Candidate will support sales selection of ventilation systems, fans and motors, while also developing new system layouts and standardized component selections.
