Ventures and Acquisition Planning Intern

Through its investments, Emerson Ventures accelerates innovation by obtaining early access to disruptive discrete automation solutions, environmental sustainability technologies and industrial software solutions that have the potential to solve real customer challenges.  Emerson’s acquisition planning activities, through market and company research, help lay the foundation for future M&A transactions.  We are looking for students who are interested in gaining real-world experience in this dynamic environment.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Research technologies, markets and companies Analyze investment cases Prepare presentations Support due diligence Plan and coordinate meetings Who You Are:

You use knowledge of business drivers and how strategies and tactics play out in the market to guide actions. You use financial analysis to generate, evaluate, and act on strategic options and opportunities. You continually scan the environment for technology breakthroughs. You capitalize on trends to shape future opportunities. You are creative and select items you’re working with wisely.

For This Role, You Will Need: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a technology or investment-oriented field (e.g., engineering, computer science, business, finance, economics, etc.) Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at our St. Louis location Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
 

Flexible Work Schedule – Core Hours
This role follows a core hours schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
