WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibilityPrevent and resolve altercations among guestsLead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistanceMaintain control by circulating through your work area throughout the shiftCheck identification of any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age who is drinking alcoholic beverages inside the venueEnsure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down searchEnforce venue policy regarding photos/videos/recording devicesSafeguard against theft and property damageWrite reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals and flashlights. Remain in constant contact throughout the shiftWarn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premisesSet up area before opening (stanchions, table configuring, etc.)Keep interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash or other obstacles, before, during and after the shiftPartner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, EtcWHAT YOU WILL NEED
REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent experienceAbility to work late hours, flexible scheduleGood working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement proceduresTolerance of all cultures, music, and art formsPass a mandatory background checkPREFERRED:
3 years work experience interacting with people in a positive environmentExperience in a live music environmentExperience in a security roleExperience using metal detection equipmentPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
