Join our team as a Verification and Validation (V&V) Leader to build and lead a team responsible for managing and executing V&V activities engineering projects! This is a newly established function within our Test and Validation team, offering a unique opportunity to shape and influence our V&V strategy. As the V&V Leader, you will lead and enhance the Verification and Validation (V&V) processes for transport refrigeration products, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability. You will also drive IADT (Inspection, Analysis, Demonstration, and Test) activities, support the development of a test engineering team, and establish integration of V&V into the digital thread.

What you will do:
Team Building and Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of test engineers to execute the V&V team missions effectively. Foster a collaborative, hands on and high-performance team culture.Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the V&V strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and readiness for new technologies.Project Participation: Maintain a connection to projects by participating in tactical work, dedicating a percentage of time to hands-on activities.Process Development: Establish and continuously improve V&V processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure the highest quality and reliability of our transport refrigeration products.Technology Integration: Ensure V&V processes are integrated with the engineering digital thread, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Requirement Management Tools, DVP’s, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM), and others. Ensure alignment within the business unit and enterprise.Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and quality assurance, to ensure V&V activities are aligned with project requirements and timelines.Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular updates to senior management on V&V activities, progress, and outcomes. Ensure comprehensive documentation of V&V processes and results.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the V&V function to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation.
What you will bring:
Education: Undergraduate degree in Engineering is required; Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering test or analysis role, with at least 5 years of people leadership experience demonstrating team growth.Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of V&V methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience with MBSE, Requirement Management Tools, PLM, and SPDM is highly desirable. Systems Engineering and Six Sigma training and certifications strongly desired.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate an engineering team, fostering a pipeline of talent in the organization. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality and reliable products.Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $117,000 – 175,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
