Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a Verification Engineer to join their team. As a Verification Engineer, you will be part of the Electrical Engineering department supporting the FPGA design used in high-end router products. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Electrical Engineering, 7-8 years of pure verification experience in ASIC/FPGAs, and proficiency in SystemVerilog with clear OOP concepts.
**Job Title:** Verification Engineer
**Location:** San Jose, CA
**Pay Range:** $75-80/hour
**What's the Job?**
+ **Design verification** —developing testbenches in UVM, writing test cases, and running simulations
+ Lead the verification of complex FPGA designs used in high-end router products.
+ Analyze design specifications and collaborate with design engineers to define verification scenarios.
+ Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, constrained-random verification environments, test cases, regressions, and coverage reports.
+ Define and implement various coverage metrics to ensure robust verification of all stimulus and corner cases.
**Qualifications:**
+ **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
+ **Experience:** 8-10 years of hands-on ASIC/FPGA verification experience.
+ **DV experience (8-10 years)** can independently create testbenches and verification components from scratch
+ Proficiency in SystemVerilog with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
+ Extensive experience in developing object-oriented testbench infrastructure, BFMs, and test cases using UVM.
+ Expertise in verifying IP integrations, identifying corner cases, and developing verification strategies.
+ Experience with high-speed and low-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and MDIO.
+ Ability to independently create test plans, define test sequences, generate stimuli, and work closely with RTL designers to debug failures.
+ Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Perl is a plus.
+ Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools, revision control systems, and regression systems.
**Expectations:**
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in parallel and quickly adapt to shifting priorities.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
+ Position requires frequent in-person collaboration; candidates should be prepared to work onsite most of the time.
