Verification & Validation Lead and Test Manager

We currently have an opportunity for a Verification & Validation (V&V) Lead and a V&V Test Manager, specialising in the Maritime domain. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. 

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

V&V Lead:

Lead V&V activities across the engineering team. Ensure compliance and assurance of the V&V program. Act as the head of discipline for V&V. Collaborate closely with engineers, project teams, and key stakeholders.

V&V Test Manager:

Develop and execute the V&V program. Attend formal and informal V&V events as a Commonwealth representative. Act as an export control liaison between key stakeholders and organisations.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor of Engineering (recognised under the Washington Accord).  Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the Defence or professional services industries. Experience with EIA-632 systems engineering processes. Ideally familiar with naval or maritime combat and support systems. Hold and maintain a minimum NV1 as required by the Commonwealth
