Description:
You will be a FPGA Design and Test Engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). You will be responsible for developing signal processing System Verilog source code and simulation for the back-end processor, working closely with engineers generating DSP/Simulink/HDL Coder and implementing algorithms.
What You Will Be Doing
As a FPGA Design and Test Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Develop signal processing System Verilog source code and simulation for the back-end processor
• Work with engineers generating DSP/Simulink/HDL Coder and implementing algorithms
• Design, test, and integrate multiple FPGAs in an Agile environment
• Collaborate with a larger FPGA team to ensure seamless integration of FPGA designs
• Develop and maintain complex FPGA designs, including simulation and testing
• Troubleshoot and debug issues with FPGA designs
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software and hardware engineering teams

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have an active Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years prior to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog
- Experience in Hardware-Software Integration and Validation
- Familiarity with FPGA toolsets (Libero, Vivado, and Vitis strongly preferred)
- Experience with electronics design and troubleshooting activities
- Experience Integrating HW and SW
- Active Secret Clearance with most recent investigation in the last 5 years
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is highly desired.
- Proven history of taking an FPGA from concept to implementation and successfully integrating with next higher assembly.
- Design and debug of complex FPGA design in simulation and hardware.
- Foundational understanding of RF and DSP.
- Experience with Zynq US+, Versal, and/or RFSoC.
- Experience with high speed transceivers.
- Experience with AI Engines is a plus.
- Experience with HDL Coder and Simulink is a plus.
- Ability to work with systems and hardware engineering to derive requirements for design.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
