Hach is seeking a Vertical Market Manager, Municipal to develop and execute targeted growth strategies for municipal markets in North America. In this role, you will serve as the go-to expert for municipal markets, driving commercial initiatives across functions that address the unique needs of municipal water professionals. Working with sales, service, product, and marketing teams, you will craft compelling growth initiatives, build strong industry partnerships, and strengthen Hach’s position as the leader within the space. Key responsibilities for a Vertical Market Manager include: 

Strategy and planning 

Conducting research to understand market trends, regulatory changes, customer paint points, and industry-specific opportunities Synthesizing research into actionable opportunities, and developing and implementing comprehensive annual growth initiatives aligned with those opportunities and business goals 

Marketing campaign development and execution 

Partner with marketing campaign managers, digital marketers, and other demand generation experts to ensure alignment of audience, persona, messaging, and other campaign elements with overall vertical strategies Work alongside tradeshow and event manager to plan and execute events that strengthen Hach’s position as a leader in municipal water analysis and meet internal goals 

Collaboration and enablement 

Own cross-functional action plans and act as champion of cross-functional execution of annual growth initiatives in municipal markets Collaborate with North America sales teams on vertical-specific strategies and tools needed for success in each channel Work with product teams to make sure new and existing products address most critical needs of Municipal customers in North America 

Analytics and reporting 

Track, measure, and analyze performance of growth initiatives against established KPIs; use problem solving to understand root cause of issues and close performance gaps Stay up to date on industry news and competitive activity to provide insights to commercial teams and inform strategy adjustments 

Partnership development 

Build and maintain relationships with relevant industry organizations, associations, and influencers Work together with internal brand and other commercial teams to identify opportunities with partners to amplify Hach’s presence among municipal water professionals 

Ideal candidate: 

3-5 years of commercial experience in strategy, marketing, or sales Excellent business acumen Excellent ability to navigate large, matrixed organizations and get things done through others Experience with market segmentation and strategy development Experience leading cross-functional teams (formal leadership or leading through influence) Proven track record of delivering growth Very good at prioritizing and focusing on the critical few

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
