Vertical Start-Up Engineering Lead

Education: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.

Experience: 

2-5 years of manufacturing experience, high-speed preferred. Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies such as FMEA, TPM, VSU, CI, 5S, 5-Why, SMED, PM. Experience with CapEx planning and execution. Familiarity with Maintenance programs like TBM and predictive maintenance.

Strong leadership, organizational, and listening skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead VSU for new capital projects, process improvements, RCA, and small capital projects. Liaise between engineering, operations, and CI for project design, build, and installation. Execute VSU Operational Readiness Checklist and deliverables. Define and obtain approval for project success criteria and start-up curve(s). Identify and manage gaps and risks in the start-up system. Develop a detailed start-up plan with plant management and stakeholders. Coordinate team activities and ensure effective task execution. Secure management support and alignment for the start-up plan. Develop and implement training strategies and material plans. Lead CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification) phases. Maintain start-up logs and conduct post-mortem project meetings.
