Our client, a well-established, innovative organization in the maritime technology sector, is currently seeking a Vessel Operations Manager.
This role is ideally suited for licensed officers or maritime graduates with some seagoing experience ready to apply their operational insight in a shoreside environment, with opportunities for professional development and long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate vessel movements in accordance with international, national, and organizational regulations and procedures Act as the primary point of contact for vessel Masters, supporting day-to-day operational requirements Oversee port agent nominations, disbursement account management, and reconciliation of agent billing Process accounts receivable/payable Collaborate with Masters and departments across the organization to support vessel readiness, budgeting, scheduling, and standardization initiatives Contribute to long-term operational planning and continuous improvement efforts Assist with reporting, documentation, and the implementation of operational directives and purchasing protocols Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. Maritime Academy (required) Minimum 2 years’ shipboard experience as a licensed officer (preferred) Strong understanding of maritime operations, compliance, and logistics Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and reporting Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP and vessel management systems is advantageous Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment A self-motivated, team-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement Why This Role?
