An exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer role in the Large Pressure Vessels Producibility Team has arisen within the New Build and Components Business, in Nuclear (Submarines).

The purpose of this role is to Provide technical support to operations and execute Manufacturing Engineering activities to develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture, which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, deliver rate and leadtime (SQCD).

As our Vessels Producibility Engineer you will act as the primary Manufacturing Engineering representative within the cross-functional team for their owned part(s).Work cross functionally with the Integrated Product & Production Readiness process (IPPR), planning and co-ordinating Man Eng activities in line with the IPPR deliverables and programme schedule

What you will be doing:
This role is based within a large pressure vessel Producibility team. The roles includes, but is not limited to:
Execute Manufacturing continuous improvement activities, including the design of the overall Method of Manufacture and of individual process steps using the Product Quality Planning toolset.Create and validate Production Technical Packages which are capable of delivering design intent and meeting customer and business requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate & leadtime (SQCD).Accountable for being the manufacturing technical authority for the product.Supporting production issues relating to management of non-conformance, significant method resequencing, safety or method queries or concernsWho we’re looking for:

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
