Veterinary Rehab Assistant will assist the Rehab Therapist and veterinary technicians in day-to-day duties. Duties will include pet restraint, office cleanliness, office organization, client triage and any other duties assigned for the Animal Care Clinic.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Successfully and safely restrain patients with the use of PPE when necessary. Monitor patients while undergoing rehab therapy. Assist in office duties including cleaning and organization. Track and organize medical records. Follow OSHA and AVMA standards. Deliver compassionate nursing care. Provide accurate and current client education. Client communication regarding incoming patient/triage. Direct client to exam room and confirm past patient history. Keeping up to date on veterinary standards and protocols. Other Job duties assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Computer Skills Must be able to speak and understand English. 0-4 Years of related work experience Ability to be confident around clients and their pets. Ability to stand for an entire shift; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch for extended periods of time; and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds. Associate is routinely exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch and, on occasion, exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medication/controlled substances. Must be dependable and flexible with schedule changes, cancellations, and additions.
