Our multi-doctor practice is supported by a dedicated team of support staff that share the passion of providing our clients the best possible care through high quality diagnostic tools, treatment and surgery. Hidden Valley Animal Hospital has multiple Registered Veterinary Technicians to help in surgery and treatment, as well as trained and knowledgeable veterinary assistants on the team.
Job Responsibilities:
· Builds rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns
· Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
· Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
· Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
· Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
· Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
· Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Skills and Qualifications:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited universityLicensure in good standing to practice in the state of North CarolinaCommitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics2+ years of experience in a general practice settingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaboratively work with hospital team membersMakes decisions confidently and effectivelyManages time and tasks appropriatelyModels a professional and courteous manner with staff and clientsCommitment to ongoing educational development and growthBONUS- We would love to welcome a candidate with a special skill set, such as integrative medicine, rehabilitation, acupuncture as we are committed to continually looking for ways to elevate and develop the services we offer to our communityHidden Valley Animal Hospital is central to many shopping, eating and entertainment venues, as well as several trails and greenways options.
