South Bay Veterinary Hospital in Chula Vista is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team!

About the Hospital

AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor practice

6 exam rooms, 3 treatment tables, and 1 surgery suite

Digital radiology and dental radiology

Ultrasound and IDEXX in-house lab

Paperless with Cornerstone software

3:1 tech-to-doctor ratio with 2 experienced RVTs, numerous veterinary assistants, and a dedicated pharmacy technician

Supportive management team

Nearby emergency and specialty hospitals for after-hours care



What Makes Us Different

Our hospital is known for its close-knit team and loyal clientele, some who have trusted us with their pets for more than 20 years. We see a variety of cases, with a mix of wellness (40%) and urgent care/same-day illness appointments (60%). Our doctors enjoy flexibility with appointment types (30-minute standard appointments, 1-hour health certificates) and one dedicated surgery day per week.


We believe in work-life balance and keep schedules manageable:

4-day workweeks, 8am–5pm (last appointment at 4:30pm)

Rotating Saturdays, 8am–3pm (closed for lunch)



What We Offer

Base salary of $110,000 - $160,000 depending on experience

Qualifications

DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited program (or ECFVG/PAVE certified)

At least 1 year of experience

Comfortable with surgery (spay, neuter, dentistry) 

Ability to manage urgent care cases is preferred
