VCA Five Corners Animal Hospital is expanding its patient care team and seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant.

Responsibilities of our Veterinary Assistants:

Our Veterinary Assistants provide compassionate veterinary care to our patients. We provide a progressive learning environment to guide your career path, and encourage Veterinary Assistants to utilize their skills to broaden their abilities.

Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures.Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team.Recognize subtle change in clinical status.Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them.Complete estimates, basic record keeping.Surgical preparation and assisting.

Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment post-surgery, ensuring readiness for future use.

Assist with surgical preparation, including sterilizing instruments, setting up surgical areas, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.

QUALIFICATIONS 

1+ years of clinical experience as a Veterinary AssistantPassion for Veterinary Medicine  


Schedule: Full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling. We utilize a 4 x 10 hour work week.

Compensation: Starting wage is $ 23 - 25 /hr. Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
