We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Hospital Administer who can blend expertise in specialty medicine with exceptional leadership and emotional intelligence. As the Hospital Administer you will be at the helm of our large, multi-specialty practice, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and leading a diverse team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. This role requires a seasoned professional who not only understands the complexities of specialty veterinary medicine but also excels in managing people with grace, empathy, and strategic vision. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of specialists, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement. Foster positive culture within the team, ensuring effective communication, conflict resolution, and mutual respect. Develop and implement strategies to improve team dynamics, productivity, and job satisfaction. Operations Management: Oversee all operational aspects of the practice, including scheduling, workflow optimization, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and excellence in patient care. Monitor and manage the success of the practice, including financial performance, client satisfaction, and staff retention. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards. Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets, forecast financial trends, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability without compromising patient care. Collaborate with the ownership and finance teams to set financial goals, monitor progress, and make data-driven decisions. Client Relations: Uphold the practice’s reputation for excellence in client service, ensuring that all client interactions are handled with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail. Address and resolve any client concerns or complaints, working to enhance the overall client experience. Professional Development: Identify opportunities for staff development and continuing education, ensuring that the team remains at the forefront of veterinary medicine. Mentor and support the growth of team members, helping them to achieve their professional goals. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a multi-specialty or large veterinary practice. Proven track record of successfully managing and leading diverse teams, especially in high-pressure environments. Strong background in specialty veterinary medicine, with a deep understanding of the operational and clinical challenges unique to this field. Skills: Exceptional emotional intelligence, with the ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of strong personalities. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and make informed decisions quickly. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, and external partners. Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Veterinary Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or certification in veterinary practice management (CVPM) is highly desirable.
