As a working supervisor, you will coordinate service staff schedules and training; perform routine and emergency nursing care; prepare for and assist in various diagnostic exams and procedures; and be responsible for assisting with appointment schedules, admissions and discharges, visitor policies, and emergency call-ins. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of veterinary surgical and nursing care and techniques. The ideal candidate is an excellent verbal and written communicator, highly self-motivated, and able to prioritize well. The candidate will strive to promote teamwork both internally and externally within all services of the hospitals. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, or equivalent, and four years of relevant experience or two years of relevant experience in a veterinary academic teaching hospital. Expected Salary: $23-25 per hour, dependent on credentials and experience Minimum Requirements: Associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute an equivalent rate for the required experience. Preferred Qualifications: Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) At least three years technical experience in area of specialization related to position. At least three years relevant experience within a veterinary university system. At least two years supervisory/leadership experience in a veterinary setting.
