The IDEXX laboratory team are currently seeking a Veterinary Laboratory Technician for a 4 month contract to cover our seasonal milk pregnancy testing. Working in our custom designed site in Hamilton, NZ you – as the successful hire you will process high-quality, efficient, effective, and timely diagnostic testing services for the IDEXX Reference Laboratories.

You as a technician will be setting up instruments, and preparing, running, interpreting, and releasing results while troubleshooting performance, in compliance with IANZ certification requirements.

You will have:

A Bachelor of  Science/or equivalent degree.Experience working in in a diagnostics laboratoryExperience in serology is desirable but not essentialAn understanding of IANZ and ISO 17025, standardsThe ability to be flexible and comfortable with full time hours between Monday-Saturday on rotating day shifts.Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environmentPassion for providing exceptional customer service.Attention to detail and excellent communication skillsCommitment to our IDEXX values, diligent attention to our Quality system and Health & Safety policies/procedures.
