We have an exciting opportunity for a Maternity Cover Veterinary Physiotherapist to join our team, where patient care and client support are at the heart of everything we do. **Willows Veterinary Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Team** Willows is one of the UK’s leading small animal referral centres with state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical facilities and renowned specialist staff who are working at the cutting edge of veterinary medicine and surgery. Our veterinary physiotherapy and rehabilitation team play a key role in supporting patients through rehabilitation, helping them to regain mobility, function and quality of life. Our facilities include hydrotherapy (underwater treadmill), therapeutic exercise facilities, and class IV laser therapy. You will be joining a team of three veterinary physiotherapists and a rehabilitation assistant. **The role** The maternity cover position offers a fantastic opportunity to work with post-operative and complex cases, alongside our specialist clinicians and primary care team. You will work closely with the Neurology, Orthopaedic, Pain Clinic and Primary Care services, along with all other support associates to provide the highest standards of professional care and service for our clients and their animals. This is a part-time position working 25.5 hours, over Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (08.00-16.30). There is no bank holiday or out of hours work. This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract starting early July 2025. Closing date for applications is Tuesday 27th May. **Key responsibilities** + Provide inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy services for referred and primary clients with responsibility for own caseload + Perform physiotherapeutic assessment of patients, to develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes, using a range of physiotherapy techniques + Develop a rapport with clients to determine their needs and wishes, providing them with emotional support and evidence-based advice through the rehabilitation process + Provide hydrotherapy (underwater treadmill) services for referred and primary clients + Completion of CPD requirements following the current recommendations of your governing body, dependent on personal and Hospital CPD needs + Assist in the promotion of a positive and dynamic image and culture, to enable further engagement in the veterinary physiotherapy profession from all members of the multidisciplinary Hospital team. + Assist in the clinical development of veterinary nurses, trainees and other support associates within the Hospital. + Maintaining detailed patient records and contributing to case discussions + Assist with the marketing of the Hospital through producing information for the website, providing material for Facebook stories and other marketing material such as newsletters for clients and articles for local papers **About you** We are looking for someone who shares our values of compassion, teamwork and professionalism.
