Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon 

Location: Colne Valley Vets, Colchester, Essex

Job Type: Permanent, full-time 

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. Relocation package available! 

Hours: 4-day week with an additional Friday off every six weeks. 1:6 Saturday morning rota and no OOH’s.

We are seeking a confident, primary care Vet to join or small animal and exotics clinic on Colchester!

About us:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent full-time vet to join us at our purpose-built small animal practice in Colchester. Colne Valley Vets has been part of the Colchester community for 75 years. We have an interesting and varied small animal and exotics caseload. The ideal candidate will be confident with routine surgeries and consults, additional interests are welcome, and we are always happy to encourage further studies. Participation in the exotic’s caseload is not essential, but if this is an area of interest it can certainly be explored. Colchester is a historic market town with lovely surrounding countryside, 25 minutes to the coast and just 45 minutes by train into London.

Our Colchester practice benefits from five dedicated consulting rooms, a separate exotics ward, full x-ray and ultrasound facilities, 3 different types of endoscope, a dedicated surgical theatre and much more! We also have a branch practice in Wivenhoe offering consults. We have a large and experienced team of 12 Vets and 13 Nurses who work extremely well together. Colne Valley Vets is a very enjoyable place to work and each and every team member is valued for their skills and ideas.
