Part-Time- Mondays and Wednesday, with an option to move to full-time in the near future or possibility of splitting time with other specialty services. We are a group of board-certified veterinary cardiologists, experienced RVTs, assistants, a pharmacy tech, and client service reps; everyone on the team matters and we function together as a work-family. Most of us have worked together for at least five years, with several over 10 years. We love what we do because we make a difference. Our cardiology department works with companion animals with heart disease, helping to diagnose and treat a variety of heart conditions. We believe that through knowledge and communication, dogs and cats with heart disease can live joyful and dignified lives. Our philosophy emphasizes a true partnership between the pet's family, the pet's primary veterinarian, and the veterinary cardiologist. With three cardiologists, our doctors work collaboratively to provide comprehensive care. The Cardiology Department at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center is an outpatient service with inpatient and emergency capabilities. Cardiologists are available 5- 7 days per week. We are proud to serve our patients and clients with the support of the hospital's fully integrated ICU and ER. We are here for our patients 24/7 but the cardiology department works outpatient/appointment hours. Duties will include: + Maintaining medical records. + Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients. + Filling prescriptions. + Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging. + Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
