The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality Veterinary medicine and patient care - with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. Strong computer and communication skills are necessary. As a Veterinary Technician/Assistant, you will be supporting our Veterinarians by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties include (but are not limited to):

· Assisting Veterinarians with appointments

· Assisting Veterinarians with surgeries and anesthetic dentistries

· Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging

· Maintaining medical records

· Filling prescriptions

· Providing compassionate care and a "home away from home" for hospitalized pets

· Providing exceptional customer service for our clients

· The ideal candidate will have:

· Experience as a veterinary technician/assistant is required; credentialed (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred but not required

· Experience in emergency medicine, surgery, and dentistry

· A positive, encouraging and supportive attitude

· Excellent communication skills

· Flexibility in hours including (but not limited to) evenings, weekends, and holidays

· Willingness and capability to be cross-trained in reception and kennel

· Working knowledge of computers

· Team player mindset, willing to learn new techniques and treatments
