VCA Animal Specialty Group is a well established 24 hour emergency and specialty hospital. We are a teaching hospital that focuses on and encourages learning and professional growth.

What we're looking for: Looking for experienced technicians to work in our Emergency department. RVT preferred but not required.

Schedule : 8pm-630am, 10 hours, 4 days/week

Compensation: $ 26 - $ 34 / hr

Shift Differential : one dollar per hour for shifts starting after 6pm

Ideal candidates must be proficient at the following:

IV catheter placementVenipuncture and U/S guided cystocentesisRadiographsAnesthesia induction (RVTs only), monitoring and recovery for minor and major procedures.Triage ER walk-insPatient care and hourly treatmentsCalculating and preparing medications (including boluses, transfusions and CRIs)Restraining for exams and performing diagnosticsClients communication (histories, discharges, demos, prescriptions)

Applicants should be/have:

2 years veterinary emergency experienceAble to work overnights and one weekend night shift (Sat and/or Sun)Be able to communicate thoroughly, respectfully, and compassionatelyReceive and carryout instructions thoroughly, quickly and efficientlyExcellent multi-tasking skills in a busy environmentOutstanding organizational and time management skillsAble to provide exceptional client service and patient careWork collaboratively in a team
