Veterinary Technician Supervisor

VCA Iselin Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician with a passion for training, leadership, and interests in progressing your career!

CVT/RVT status is not necessary for this role; we will also consider a highly experienced assistants with supervisory experience.

Bonus: $1000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants

We are a busy 3 doctor practice in central New Jersey. We see canine and feline patients, offering primary care, illness care, surgery, dentistry, and more.

About the Role

The Technician Supervisor role will allow you to take the skills and experience you’ve gained over the years in this profession and put them to great use with our hospital.

This is a working supervisory position responsible for the leadership and development of the patient care team.  Technical skills that you will be utilizing (and teaching!) include:

Client education and communicationCompassionate patient carePatient assessmentSurgical preparation and assistingAnesthesia induction and monitoringLab sample collection and processingVenipuncture and catheter placementPharmacy and medication administrationDiagnostic imagingMedical recordkeeping

Supervisory duties will include:

Team training, development and supportImplementing department policies and procedureScheduling staff and conducting team meetingsAccurately handling and recording controlled drugsRecord keepingInventory ordering and managementEquipment maintenance
