VCA Schaumburg Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our leadership team as a Veterinary Technician Supervisor!

Schedule: Full-time opportunity with rotating Saturdays.

Compensation: $25 - 32 / hour. Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.

As the Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing daily hospital operations, mentoring technicians and assistants, and ensuring excellence in patient care. This position is ideal for a technician who is passionate about leadership, training, and driving a positive hospital culture.

Key Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and support the veterinary technician and assistant team.Oversee the training and development of new and existing team members.Assist in scheduling, performance reviews, and team meetings.Maintain and implement hospital protocolsSupport patient care by performing advanced technician skills, including anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, and diagnostics.Work collaboratively with the hospital leadership team to enhance efficiency and workflow.Directing workflow on the floorCultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture Help with the interview process for potential new hiresAssists in the educational development of technicians and their skillsEnsure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

What We’re Looking For:Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) Minimum 2+ years of experience in a veterinary setting.Passion for team development and fostering a positive work culture.
