Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience._ **As a Veterinary Technician** **Supervisor** **, you will:** + Mentor technicians by demonstrating advanced clinical skills, including sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and patient monitoring during procedures, while fostering positive work habits and teamwork. + Coach team members to proactively anticipate and address the specific needs of surgical patients and clients, and provide guidance during high-pressure, fast-paced situations in the operating room. + Collaborate with hospital leadership to organize department-specific meetings, focusing on surgical protocols, workflow improvements, and team communication. + Develop and oversee training schedules for surgical technicians, ensuring proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, instrument preparation, and postoperative patient care. + Address workplace conflicts within the Surgery department, seeking resolutions to maintain a cohesive and productive team environment. + Provide constructive feedback to staff and assist hospital leadership in creating tailored performance improvement plans for surgical team members. + Perform additional surgery-related duties as needed to support the success of the department and the hospital. **Why BluePearl?** + Our passion is pets. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150. Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours.
