Join our growing team at VCA VREC of Westbury and help provide exceptional care to pets in our community! We’re seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Surgery team at our 24-hour Emergency/Specialty hospital.

At VCA VREC, we encourage growth and development, offering training opportunities and a collaborative environment. Expand your skills with cutting-edge technology like CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We support full technician skill utilization and provide gold-standard medicine with a focus on patient care.

Compensation: $29 – $37/hr, based on experience and licensure

Schedule: Full-time, 4 shifts of 10 hours which may include some weekends

Procedural anesthesia monitoringAbility to calculate drug dosesFull Technician Skill UtilizationCollecting patient histories & thorough physical examsVenipuncture / IVC placementHands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital servicesProviding compassionate care for all patientsImaging and advanced proceduresPaid on-call availabilityMinimum 1 year experience
