Responsibilities

The Vice Chair of Administration reports to the Chair of Administration, SW MN Region and is the most senior administrative leader in their assigned administrative areas. The Vice Chair of administration is accountable for strategic planning, operational planning, leadership development, staff diversity, fiscal management, and monitoring of operational and performance outcomes. The Vice Chair of Administration collaborates with physician and administrative leaders throughout Mayo Clinic to enhance relationships and ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives. Works collaboratively with Mayo administrative colleagues, physician colleagues and allied health staff.



Qualifications

A Master’s degree in business or health care administration strongly preferred, bachelor's degree required; a minimum of ten years of significant leadership and management experience is required. Leadership and management experience must include working with physicians and allied health staff in a variety of assignments. Must have demonstrated competencies in leadership, management, operations, finance, quality, and communication. Broad-based upper management experience is required in order to coordinate a wide range of activities across the organization.
